I’m a lover of Renoir’s painting and now I understand what a great talent he was. He was at the same time like us all a flawed individual. My appreciation of his art and all of Impressionism has been increased with the understanding Professor White has imparted in her book. A window into the intimate thoughts and words of some of the greatest of the genre.
