OUCH! this great American and world-famed sculptor was public schooled in LaPorte INDIANA (not Illinois as it says here). We've continued the misinformation previously reported that Noguchi was like a foreign child at a private boarding school. Enough already--Hoosier schoolchildren and children everywhere should share in the fellowship knowledge that he was typically publicly schooled just as in their own experience. Academics, Scholars and Curators too often ignore his fantastic tale growing up as a typical teenager. It should be an explosive note in American Arts history generally.Overall this volume presented by the Whitney Museum and the Smithsonian is an absolutely outstanding selection of images representing his fundamental basic power derived in our own grounding as well as those additional selections that eerily transport us outside of our self so as to imagine an etherial, eternal truth.--Glenn Ralston
